Read the operating instructions completely and familiarise yourself with the device before initial operation.

Make sure that the voltage (V) on the device's type plate matches the mains voltage!
Do not pull the power cable over sharp edges, trap it or let it hang down. The power cable must be protected from heat and moisture. The power cable must not be stretched or strained.
The power cable must not touch any hot parts of the device!
Always switch off the device after use!
Only insert the plug into the socket when the device is switched off!
Never wrap the power cord around the device!
Always unplug the power plug when cleaning the device, in the event of a malfunction, or when not in use!
Do not place the device or power cord on hot surfaces such as stove tops or similar, and keep it away from open flames!
Before each use, check that the device is in perfect condition. It must not be used if: - it is not working properly - the supply cable is damaged - the device shows visible damage - the device has been dropped once - or if it has fallen into water.
If the power cable is damaged, it may only be replaced by the manufacturer, its customer service or a qualified electrician in order to avoid a hazard!
Repairs may only be carried out by an authorised service centre or by a qualified electrician using original spare parts.
Never immerse the device in water.
The device must NOT be cleaned under running water!
Do not use this appliance near a bathtub, shower tray or other vessel containing water.
When the appliance is used in a bathroom, unplug the appliance after use because the proximity of water poses a hazard even if the appliance is switched off.
Do not unplug the power plug from the socket by the power cord or with wet hands!
To prevent hazardous situations caused by accidentally resetting the thermal cut-out, this appliance must not be connected to an external switching device, such as a timer, a power outlet with unstable or intermittent power supply, or a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility company.
Never use the device in environments where there is a high concentration of aerosol (spray) products or where oxygen is released.
Never use the device with aerosol (spray) products labelled as flammable.
Only wipe the device with a slightly damp cloth and dry it with a soft cloth.
As an additional safety measure, the installation of a tested residual current device (RCD) with a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA in the electrical circuit is recommended. Consult an electrician for advice.
Caution! Damage due to improper handling.
UV light can be harmful to skin and eyes. Do not open the device during operation and avoid direct contact with UV light.
If necessary, use UV protective goggles and other protective measures.
Only sterilise objects that are suitable for UV sterilisation. Materials such as sensitive plastics or objects that cannot withstand UV radiation could be damaged.
Do not use the device if it is damaged or shows visible defects (e.g. damaged lamps, housing). Have repairs carried out only by authorised specialists.
Make sure that the device is used on a stable, flat surface and is sufficiently ventilated to prevent overheating.
Protect the device from dust, dirt and lint.
Clean the device with a soft, dry cloth after each use.
Do not use harsh or abrasive cleaning agents.
Store the device in a dry and cool place, away from direct sunlight and moisture.
Keep out of reach of children.
Never let children play with packaging materials. There is a danger of suffocation.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
Disposal instructions

The device contains electronic components and UV lamps. It must not be disposed of in normal household waste. Dispose of it in accordance with local regulations for the disposal of electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE directive).

UV lamps may contain mercury or other environmentally hazardous substances. Take them to hazardous or special waste collection points or recycling centres.
